Alright folks, it’s time to start planning our Summer Season 2008. And for that we all need something to play for. There’s been some discussion about moving away from the one large prize at the end of the season once the World Series of Poker has passed and we may have a solution.
We have been talking with our “local”, as they are, casinos and one of the ideas that has come up is to play out our regular Tournament of Champions down to 6 to 10 players and those are you winners. What do they win? Each player gets a trip to a local casino (to be determined out of Foxwoods, Turning Stone or Mohegan Sun) with overnight accommodations, food coupons and a buy-in to a single table tournament where we will crown our Season champion and the top 2-4 players win cash prizes in addition to the trip.
Choices for the “1 Big Prize” option are the Borgata Poker Open, a World Poker Tour Event in Atlantic City, NJ during September and the standard favorite, the Foxwoods Saturday $500 tournament.
