Play in VT Poker League Events on Cake Poker
We are excited to announce that Cake Poker will be working with Vermont Poker League to offer online tournaments to our players.
Cake Poker will take over both the weekly league tournaments as well as the Premium Member Freerolls. Since we have missed a few weeks due to theĀ interruption, weekly tournaments will resume on Saturday May 7th and run double tournaments for 3 weeks. One tournament starting at 7pm and one starting at 7:30pm.
Cake Poker was not part of the April 15th shutdown and still gladly accepts US based players.
If you do not have a Cake Poker account, we can offer two suggestions to maximize your Cake Poker money.
Option 1. YourPokerCash.com
YourPokerCash.com is currently offering a FREE $100 bankroll on Cake Poker for new players. The signup process is a bit cumbersome, primarily to prevent fraud and people signing up for multiple free bankrolls. But this is a good option if you are worried about putting more money online.
Option 2. PokerLeagueBase.com 33% Rakeback
Rakeback is one of the best kept secrets in online poker. Every time you play in a tournament or a cash game, the site keeps a small portion of either or the pot, usually less than 10%. This is how the sites make their money and stay in business. With Rakeback, you will get a percentage of that money paid directly back into your account.
When you sign up with a poker room through Poker League Base, you will receive a refund for every $1.00 that you pay in rake. This refund is known as rakeback. No matter what limits you play, whether you are a professional or just play poker for fun, receiving rakeback will greatly increase your win-rate, and allow you to make more money.
If you play in $10 sit-n-goes, the total cost is usually $11. The extra $1 is what the site keeps. With a 33% rakeback deal, you’ll get back $0.33. It doesn’t sound like much, but it adds up quickly. If you play 10 tournaments a day, after a week that’s more than $21 or an extra 3rd place finish for FREE. For many players, it’s the difference between going broke and cashing out every month.
Both of these deals are also eligible for Cake Poker’s 110% deposit bonus. They will match your deposit amount plus an additional 10% in bonus money. $25 gives you $52.50 total. $100 gives you $210 total.
Screen names
Since Cake Poker will be hosting our Freerolls, we’ll need to compile a list of screen names to tie with your VPL Player ID. Once you have setup a Cake Poker account please fill in the form below so we can both properly track your weekly league results and include you in our Premium Member Freerolls.
Speaking of Freerolls, since we were only able to provide 1 freeroll in April, there will be an extra make-up Freeroll tournament in May. Check the calendar for complete details.
