Vermont Poker League

The postcard that was recently sent out has an error for the Killarney event start time. The events will start at 7pm at Killarney Irish Pub in Ludlow this season.

The Eagles Club in Manchester will be hosting Vermont Poker League Events on Sundays at 1pm starting on June 15th. Please be aware that players will need to be a member of the Eagles Club to attend all of these events. Non-members will only be able to play in 2 events. Big thanks to Jim Day at the Eagles and to Bill Daiek, Joe Bianco, Vern Forbes, Mike and Julie Darius, Spencer Cole and everyone else who helped get this one off the ground.

There are a few rules updates that all players need to be aware for the upcoming Summer Season.

Terms and Conditions

Thanks to one player trying to ruin the fun for everybody, all players who play in Vermont Poker League events agree to the Terms and Conditions outlined on this website. These may be updated or revised at any time and it is the responsibilty of the player to keep themselves up-to-date.

Leaving Early

Players who leave the tournament before they have been eliminated are now considered eliminated at that point and their chips are removed from play.

Tournament of Champions Chips
1st place each week: T2000
2nd place each week: T1000
3rd place each week: T500

Sit-n-Go’s

Players will now only receive a maximum of 1500 Tournament of Champion chips from Sit-n-Gos per location.

All players must be seated and present before a Sit-n-Go can start.

And lastly, a little experiment that we’re very excited about. Since this is Vermont Poker League we are going to start introducing more games than just Texas Hold’em. Starting this season, the first Sit-n-Go tournament of each event will be played as No-Limit Omaha Hi. All of the following SnG tournaments can be either Omaha or Hold’em.

Shawn Davis held onto a commanding chip lead through out the final two tables to win Vermont Poker League’s Spring Season Tournament of Champions. Shawn defeated Scott Sabatino heads up with 90% of the chips in play.

Shawn has won a trip to Las Vegas including airfare, hotel, food and an entry to a World Series of Poker event.

The King’s Plate apparently will not be opening in time to start league play for our Summer Season. Once they have opened we will re-evaluate the Middlebury event schedules.

Our Summer Season 2008 kicks off on June 6th and will run for 10 weeks. Players will be able to compete at the following locations:

9pm - Sports Legends, Diamond Run Mall

Candeleros will contiune hosting Vermont Poker League games on Wednesdays during the summer season. The Wednesday events will start at the same time of 6pm.
